We attach a person to every article on purpose. It means a mistake costs the writer something, which is the strongest quality control a site this size has.
Corin Vasquez, Threat detection and defense writer. Corin has spent years helping non-technical people understand security, and writes to make defense feel doable rather than frightening.
Devika Nair, Privacy and compliance writer. Priya writes about privacy and data protection for ordinary users and small teams, cutting through legal jargon to what actually matters.
Tobias Lund, Network security and infrastructure writer. Tobias explains how networks, devices, and the tools that protect them work, aimed at people setting things up for the first time.
Yes, some outbound links pay. What they pay for is the hosting bill, not the wording of the assessment sitting next to them.
Nobody has ever bought the removal of a fair criticism here, and the ones who try mostly hand us the material for the next article.
Published means published. We do not bump dates to look active, and an edit only changes the modified date when it changes what the article actually tells you to do.
A subject earns a page when somebody has asked about it twice, or when we went looking for the answer ourselves and came back empty handed.
Write to [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. Factual errors are fixed quickly. If the correction changes the conclusion of a piece, we add a short note at the foot of the page rather than quietly editing it.
